Snap to It!

Our new Charts are here! Formerly Beta Charts, these updated charts are loaded with extra features.

If you saw my earlier post about these, you know you can save your settings to access later, chart a longer time period, customize your studies and compare multiple symbols. We’ve even added a handy glossary of technical studies. Take a look and see for yourself why we think they’re great!

Happy Charting!

Get fit for investing!

You see them at the gym all the time. Walking with their clients, carefully demonstrating how to use each machine, checking for correct form.

They are personal trainers, and their job is to help people like you and I get in shape for the big wedding, the big race, or for life.

Ever wish you had someone like this to help you get fit for investing?

Well now you can.

optionsXpress is proud to announce optionsXpress personal coaching, a one-on-one investing training program that pairs you with a dedicated coach who will walk you through all aspects of the optionsXpress Web site.

Think of it as an investing fitness routine.

In a series of weekly sessions, your coach will lead you through workouts at your pace and help you work toward your investing goals. You’ll even receive access to a personal coaching hotline you can call for help outside of sessions.

Don’t let time decay...

When choosing a stock or option, you probably ask yourself “Is this a value?” or “Will this help me meet my investing goals?” or even “How will this compliment my investment portfolio?”

Investors are, by nature, value hunters. They look for the benefit. The end result. The bottom line.

That’s why when we began planning the 2007 optionsXpoSM line up, we knew we had a mammoth task ahead of us.

We had to offer events, speakers and sessions that would give investors real, practical information they could take home and apply each time they log on to the optionsXpress site.

I believe we’ve done just that.

But don’t take my word for it. Do the math and see for yourself.

1,000 options investors.
60 jam-packed hours of investing education.
64 different breakout sessions.

And here’s one more number for you-- $100. That’s the amount you’ll save if you sign up for the 2007 optionsXpo by June 30. That means you have three days and counting to be a savvy investor and nab this discount.

Don’t let time decay. Join us October 25th - 27th at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers for the investing education event of the year.

Grain Markets are Heating Up

We’re pleased to announce that Chicago Board of Trade commodity futures are now available for trading on the optionsXpress platform. Products include corn, wheat, soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, oats, and rough rice.

These are agricultural products, so demand and growing conditions (weather, insects, disease) are key price determinants. June, July, and August are “make or break” months for many of these crops, so the markets are trading actively right now. Global exchange rates, geopolitical events in producing and consuming nations, and factors like tariffs can impact prices too.

While futures trading isn’t for the faint of heart, any investor seeking greater leverage, exposure to commodities, portfolio diversification, or higher-risk / higher-reward trading opportunities should give these products a closer look. CBOT grain futures trade electronically and extended trading hours allow you to trade whenever it’s convenient for you or whenever trading opportunities arise – day or night.

Look for more commodity and financial futures to be listed on the optionsXpress platform in the days and weeks ahead. NYBOT softs, NYMEX energies, and COMEX metals are coming soon.
